A Pattern, Not a Guess

Most "random" usernames people type by hand aren't random at all — they're a favorite word plus whatever year they were born. This tool builds handles from an actual pattern: an adjective, a noun, a casing style, a separator, and an optional digit suffix. Mix those five knobs and you get thousands of distinct combinations without repeating yourself.

It runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, so it's instant and free to spam as many times as you want.

Five Knobs, One Handle

Word

Your keyword or a random adjective + noun

  • Blank = fully random
  • Filled = your word + noun
Casing

How each word is capitalized

  • lowercase
  • Capitalized
  • UPPERCASE
Separator

What sits between the words

  • None, _, ., or -

Turn on "Add numbers" for a 2–4 digit suffix, and pick how many usernames to generate at once — up to 20 in a single click, all guaranteed unique within that batch.

Match the Style to the Platform

Different platforms reward different shapes. A gamertag can be loud; a professional handle should read clean.

Do
  • Use no separator + Capitalized for gaming ("ShadowFox482")
  • Use a dot or underscore for social handles ("velvet.otter")
  • Drop the numbers if your first choice is free
  • Keep it under ~15 characters for readability
Don't
  • Stack two separators — pick one style and stay consistent
  • Include personal info (birth year, address) in the keyword field
  • Assume a generated handle is free everywhere — check first
  • Reuse the exact same handle across accounts you want kept separate

Why the Batch Comes Back Unique

40×40 adjective/noun combinations in the built-in word bank
0 duplicates within a single generated batch
100% client-side — no server call, nothing logged

Each click deduplicates against everything already generated in that batch, so a run of 20 never hands back the same handle twice — even with numbers turned off.

Check It's Actually Free

This tool generates the pattern; it doesn't check whether a platform already has that handle taken. If you need availability checked as you go — plus AI-matched suggestions instead of a fixed word bank — the username generator covers both gaming and social platforms with live handle checks.

Want to start from two names instead of a word bank — a couple's handle, a duo tag, a brand mashup? The name combiner blends any two words into a portmanteau you can drop straight into this tool's keyword field.

Common Questions

Does this check if the username is available?

No. It only generates the handle pattern client-side. Check availability on the platform itself, or use the AI username generator, which checks handles as it suggests them.

Can I include my own word instead of a random one?

Yes. Type a word into "Include a word" and it replaces the random adjective, so every result becomes your word paired with a random noun instead of two random words.

Will I ever get the same username twice?

Not within one batch — each generated list is deduplicated against itself. Running the generator again can still resurface an earlier result, since the word bank is finite.
